2009 will mark the 7th year of the Pro Ball Baseball Clinic. Every year, primarily through word of mouth, the clinic has grown in popularity. If you want to improve your baseball skills and enhance your knowledge of the game, then you’ve come to the right place.

There is nothing out there like the Pro Ball Baseball Clinic. We offer personalized, one-on-one instruction from current Major League coaches. What makes us different from your typical fantasy camp is the emphasis on teaching the fundamentals of the game: hitting, throwing mechanics and playing defense.

The only “fantasy” you’ll experience at the Pro Ball Baseball Clinic is that a hitting instructor from the Yankees, Reds, Marlins, etc. might be working with you on improving your swing. Or a pitching coach from the Angels, Rockies or Diamondbacks might be working on improving your delivery or your curveball.

If you’re currently a player in MSBL, NABA, Roy Hobbs, Ponce de Leon or another adult league and you want to improve your skills, this clinic is designed especially for you. If you’re a little league or high school coach or you just want to teach your kid the proper fundamentals of baseball, the Pro Ball Baseball Clinic is the perfect fit for you as well.

The perfect person for this clinic is someone who maybe played baseball way back in high school, still has a love for the game, and is thinking about rekindling his youth by playing organized baseball again. It doesn’t matter if you have not played ball for many years – you are always welcome at the Pro Ball Baseball Clinic.

If you want to rub elbows and drink beer with ex-players from your favorite team, there are plenty of fantasy camps out there. If that’s what you’re looking for, the Pro Ball Baseball Clinic is probably not for you. There’s no doubt we have a lot of fun out on the field, but we’re more into developing skills than getting autographs.

I will always strive to make your 4 days at the clinic the best possible baseball experience. Every year I take suggestions from the players and incorporate them into the program. Last year, we  added video analysis and now incorporate it as one of the hitting stations. Next year, we will place more emphasis on proper throwing mechanics early on during the 4-day clinic. We also plan on video taping the pitchers so they can evaluate their delivery and throwing mechanics.

What makes this camp so special is that you get individual instruction from current Major League coaches. The ratio of participants to coaches is kept small so that private teaching takes place on a daily basis. At the January 2008 clinic, there was one coach for every five players. I cannot guarantee that same ratio in 2009 but I will promise you that the camp will never get too big.

Every coach who taught at the Arizona clinic in January of 2008 has expressed a desire to return for the next Arizona clinic, to be held January 8 - 11, 2009 back at the Peoria Sports Complex (San Diego Padres spring training facility).

The biggest compliment that I can share with you is that guys keep coming back year after year. When you combine great baseball instruction with wonderful camaraderie, it makes for a very special experience.
