Pro Ball Baseball Clinic has assembled some of the best baseball teachers in the Major Leagues. All are great teachers who are patient and passionate about passing on to you their knowledge of the game.

We are dedicated to maintaining a small player to coach ratio so that you will get personalized, one-one teaching during your four days here. The January 2010 clinic had a player to coach ratio of 6:1.

The coaches shown below have expressed their desire to teach at the next two Pro Ball Baseball Clinics (Dec. 16-19, 2010 & Jan 14-17, 2010).

Glenn Sherlock

Glenn is the only member of Arizona Diamondbacks original coaching staff that has been on board since the outset in 1998. Now in his 26th year in professional baseball, Glenn is the bullpen coach and catching instructor for the DBacks. He has also served as the Dbacks bench coach, 3rd base coach and 1st base coach. Glen had previously been in the New York Yankees system for 10 seasons and spent 3 years as their catching instructor. For the past two years, Glenn's has done a remarkable job taking over for Don Wakamatsu as clinic coordinator (Wak is now manager of the Seattle Mariners). We are honored to have Glenn back as clinic coordinator in 2011.

Bob Apodaca

Bob begins his 8h season as the pitching coach of the Colorado Rockies. Previous to working with Clint Hurdle, "Dac" was the New York Mets pitching coach from 1996-99 and was the Milwaukee Brewers pitching coach in 2000 and 2001. Bob spent many years in the minor leagues as a pitching coach before landing his 1st big league job with the Mets. He is a tremendous teacher, motivator and communicator. 2009 was Bob's 1st year at Pro Ball and we are very proud to have him back for his 3rd year.

Mike Butcher

2010 is Mike's 4th year as pitching coach for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. Prior to becoming the Angels pitching coach, he spent 4 years pitching for the Anaheim Angels and 6 years as a pitching coach in their minor league system. In 2006, Mike served as pitching coach for Joe Maddon's Tampa Bay Rays. This will be Mike's 5th year at the Pro Ball Baseball Clinic.

Kevin Long

Kevin starts his 4th year as hitting coach for the 2009 World Champion New York Yankees. Before landing the Yankees job, Kevin spent 3 years as the hitting coach for the Yankees AAA team in Columbus and 1 year as AAA hitting coach for the Royals. This will be Kevin's 4th year at the Pro Ball Baseball Clinic.

Jim Presley

Jim enters his 5th year as the Florida Marlins hitting coach. Prior to joining the Marlins in 2006, Jim spent five years as a hitting instructor in the Arizona Diamondbacks organization, the last three years at the Major League level. Jim's infectious, good-natured enthusiasm is a great asset to the clinic. This will be Jim’s 4th year teaching at the Pro Ball Baseball Clinic.

Brook Jacoby

An 11-year Major League veteran and 2-time American League All-Star, Brook begins his 4th year as hitting coach of the Cincinnati Reds. Prior to being hired by the Reds, Brook spent 4 years in the Texas Rangers organization as a roving hitting instructor and AAA hitting coach.  This will be Brook’s 4th year at the Pro Ball Baseball Clinic.

Orv Franchuk

Orv is the San Diego Padres'  AAA hitting coach. He spent 2 years as minor league hitting coordinator for the Houston Astros and 4 years as minor league hitting coordinator for the Boston Red Sox. He also spent 8 years in the Oakland A's organization, including stints as roving minor league hitting instructor and minor league manager. This will be Orv's 7th year at the Pro Ball Baseball Clinic.

Lee Tinsley

A 5-year Major League veteran, Lee begins his 2nd year as 1st base coach and outfield instructor for the Seattle Mariners. Lee had served 3 years as 1st base coach and outfield instructor for the Arizona Diamondbacks. Lee is one of our outfield and base running instructors. This will be his 5th year at the Pro Ball Baseball Clinic.

Rob Picciolo

A 9-year Major League veteran and slick fielding infielder, "Peach" was a coaching fixture with the San Diego Padres from 1990-2005. The 2010 season will be his 5th year as the Angels minor league roving infield instructor. This will be Peach's 9th year at the Pro Ball Baseball Clinic (a founding member of our coaching staff).

Ty Van Burkleo

Ty starts his 2nd season as Don Wakamatsu's bench coach in Seattle. Prior to joining the Mariners, Ty spend two years as the hitting coach for the Oakland A's and before that, six years as a roving hitting instructor in the Angels minor league system. This will be Ty's 2nd year at Pro Ball.

Tony Muser

A 9-year major League veteran, Tony is currently the Minor League Hitting Coordinator for the San Diego Padres. Tony has a long career in Major League coaching, including stints as hitting coach of the Brewers and Cubs, as well as manager of the Kansas City Royals from 1995-2002. After KC, Muser spent four seasons as the bench coach for the San Diego Padres. Tony has a great sense of humor and is a tireless worker with our players. This will be his 2nd year at Pro Ball.

Eric Owens

A 9-year Major League veteran (1995-2003), Eric is the roving outfield instructor and base running coach for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. EO has a passion for teaching and he will hit you fungos till the sun goes down! This is EO's 3rd year at Pro Ball.
